Mutton Chukka

Delicious and mouth watering Mutton chukka...!!!!



Preparation time: 40 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Mutton: 3/4 kg
Onion: 3 nos
tomato: 2 nos
ginger and garlic paste: 2 tblspn
turmeric powder: 1 tspn
cloves: 6 nos
cinnamon: 2 inch
cardamom: 3 pods
fennel seeds: 1 tspn
cumin seeds: 1/2 tspn
bay leaves: 1 no
star anise: 1no
pepper: 1tspn
curry leaves
red chilly powder: 2 tspn
coriander powder: 1 tspn
salt as per taste
oil: 3 tblspn

Method:


  • Take a pressure cooker and add washed mutton along with finely chopped onion and tomatoes with some water, salt and turmeric powder
  • Bring it to 10 whistles and switch off the flame and keep aside
  • Dry roast the cloves,cinnamon,cardamom,fennel seeds,cumin seeds,bay leaves,star anise,pepper and curry leaves and grind it to fine powder and keep aside
  • Heat a kadai and add the oil
  • add the cooked mutton and bring it boil
  • once the water is completely  dried add red chilly powder,coriander powder and mix well
  • Check for seasoning and adjust the salt accordingly
  • Once the water is completely evaporated add the ground masala and mix for 2 mins and switch off the flame
Delicious and mouth watering Mutton Chukka is ready is serve
