Veg Biryani
Simple and easy Pressure
Cooker Veg Biryani…..!!!!!
Preparation time: 30 mins
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Basmati rice: 3 cups
Onion: 4 nos
Green chillies: 3 nos
Ginger garlic paste: 2 tspn
Tomato: 1 no
Whole garam masala: as required
Suaf : 1/2 tspn
Cumin seeds: ¼ tspn
Oil: 3 tblspn
Ghee: 1 tblspn
Red Chilly powder: 2 tblspn
Coriander powder: 1 tblspn
Turmeric powder: ½ tspn
Coriander leaves: 5 strands
Mint leaves : 5 strands
Salt as required
Juice of 1 lemon
Curd 3 tblspn
Beans, carrot and green peas : 2 cups
Pre-preparation:

Slice the onion, green chilies, vegetables and tomato
v
Soak the rice for half an hour
Preparation:

Heat the pressure cooker and add oil and ghee.
v
Once the oil and ghee is heated up add the whole
garam masalas along with cumin seeds and sauf
v
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté well
v
Add onion and green chilly and sauté till the
onion’s color changes to light brown
v
Add tomato and sauté well
v
Add the chopped vegetables and mix with the onion and tomato masala for
5mins
v
Add the water measured in the ratio of 1:1.5
that is for 3 cups of rice 4.5 cups of water and bring it to boil
v
Once the water is boiled well add the soaked
rice, mix gently and add the chopped coriander and mint leaves
v
Check for seasoning and close the lid of the
pressure cooker
v
Switch off the flame with 1 whistle in high
flame and 1 whistle in low flame.
v
Let it sit for 10 mins. Once the pressure is
released completely open the lid and add 1 tspn of ghee on top and gently mix
the Biryani
Super delicious Veg Biryani is ready to Serve…!!!
