Apple Halwa

Sweet with a healty twist.....Halwa with apples


Preparation time:45 mins
Serves :4


Ingredients:

5 apples
1 cup sugar (you can add more too if apples are sour)
1/2 cup of milk
Cashew nuts (1/2 cup)
Raisins (1/2 cup)
3 to 4 tblspoon Ghee
2 teaspoon cardamom powder

Method:


  • Grate the apples and squeeze out the water content and add milk turn the stove on and keep stirring after 10 to 15 mins grated apple will be soft and cooked thoroughly.. 
  • add the sugar and cardamom powder and keep stirring..
  • The mixture should not stick to the pan until then keep stirring.. 
  • Meanwhile in another pan heat the ghee and add the raisins and cashews. And fry until they are golden in colour 
  • And then add it to apple halwa 
Serve hot or chill
