How to make a healthy mutton soup at home

Ideal for new mothers and toddlers


Preparation time: 30 mins
Serves:4

Ingredients:

Mutton (chest or bones pieces): 300 grams
Onions: 3 mps
Tomatoes:2 now
Garlic :5 pods
Ginger : 1 inch
Crushed pepper  as per taste
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tspn
Cumin powder: 1 tspn
Salt as per taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:


  • Take a pressure cooker and add washed mutton
  • Add finely chopped onions and tomatoes 
  • Add crushed ginger and garlic, add 4 cups of water
  • Add turmeturmeric powder and salt,Pressure cook for 10 whistles
  • Once the pressure is released drain the water in a kadai and bring it to boil
  • Add crushed pepper and cumin powder
  • Adjust the consistency as per requirement and switch of the flame
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and pepper on top
  • Chunks of the cooked mutton can be added while serving 
  • The reserved mutton can be used to make Mutton Chukka
