Raw Mango Rice

Tangy variety rice in this mango season

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Rice: 2cups
Raw mango: 2nos
Mustard : 2tspn
Fenugreek seeds: 2 tspn
Green chilly:4 now
Chenna dal: 1 tspn
Urad dal: 1 tspn
Peanuts: 1 tblspn
Curry leaves: 10 leaves
Turmeric:1/2 tspn
Sesame oil: 2 tblpsn
Asetofida: 1/2 tspn
Salt as per taste

Pre Preparation:


  • Cook rice and cool it completely
  • Grate the raw mango and slice the green chilly
  • Dry roast 1 tspn mustard, fenugreek and make a fine powder and keep aside
Method:

  • Heat a kadai and add the oil
  • Temper the mustard,urad dal, chenna dal and asetofida
  • Add curry, green chilly,Peanuts and saute well
  • Add salt, turmeric powder and grated raw mango and cook for 5 mins
  • Add the rice and mix well
  • Add the roasted powder and mix well and switch of the flame
