Rava Idly

Instant tiffin in just 15 mins



Preparation time: 15 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Rava: 2 cups
Curd: 1 cup
fruit salt or baking soda: 1/4 tspn
salt as per taste
grated carrot:  1/2 cup
green chilly: 2 nos
few curry leaves
roasted cashew: 10 nos
oil: 2tspn
mustard : 1/2 tspn
coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:


  • Take a mixing bowl and add the rava, baking soda, salt and mix well
  • add the curd and mix well, adjust the consistency by adding water
  • rest it for 10 mins
  • temper the mustard and curry leaves and add it to the batter
  • oil the idly plate and place 1 cashew, some grated carrot and few chopped coriander leaves in the idly plate and pour 1 ladle of idly batter
  • steam it for 10 mins


Instant Rava idly is ready to serve

Best served with coconut chutney
