Gobi manchurian

A go-to gravy for naan,roti,fried rice and noodles

Serves:4

Ingredients:

Cauliflower:  1 head
Corn flour: 1/2 cup
Maida: 1/2 cup
Pepper powder: 2 tspn
Onion:2nos
Capsicum:  1 no
Spring oinion: 1/2 bunch
Soya sauce: 2tspn
Vinegar:1tspn
Red chilly sauce:1 tspn
Sugar:1/2 tspn
Garlic: 10 heads
Ginger:2 inch
Oil for deep frying
Salt as per taste

Pre Preparation:


  • Cut the cauliflower into small florets and wash it in the boiling water
  • Finely chop the ginger,garlic,onions,capsicum and spring onions 

Method: 

  • Heat the oil for deep frying
  • Take a mixing bowl,add the washed cauliflower,add corn flour reserving 1 tblspn and maida
  • Toss it in its moisture and add pepper powder 1 tpsn and salt
  • Sprinkle water if it is too dry
  • Drop into the hot oil and fry the cauliflower
  • Take it out in to a draining vessel when half done
  • Re-fry it after 10 minutes to make it extra crispy
  • Take a pan and add 2 tblsp of oil and heat it
  • Add chopped garlic,ginger and saute well
  • Add onions and capsicum and saute well in high flame
  • Add soya sauce,vinegar, red chilly sauce, pepper powder,sugar,salt and mix well
  • Add water as per the required gravy and bring it to boil
  • Mix 1 tblspn of reserved corn flour into 1 cup of water and add the mixture to the gravy
  • It will thicken in 2 - 3 minutes
  • Add the fried cauliflower and mix well
  • Garnish with chopped spring onions and adjust the consistency as per requirement
Super delicious  Indo style Gobi manchurian is ready serve
