Mumbai Vada Pav
Mumbai's famous Vada pav for a perfect tea time

Ingredients:
Potato: 5 nos
Pav:4 nos
Green chilly: 4 nos
Gram flour:1 cup
Ginger: 1 inch
Cumin seeds: 1 tspn
Mustard seeds : 1tspn
Asetofida: 1/4 tspn
Coriander leaves: 1/2 cup
Chat masala: 1/2 tspn
Cooking oil for deep frying
Salt as per taste
Baking soda: 1/4 tspb
Turmeric powder: 1/4 tspn

Pre Preparation:
- Boil the potatoes and mash it
- Finely chop the green chilly,coriander leaves and ginger
- Mix the gram flour along with baking soda and salt like a thick dosa batter
Method:
- Heat a kadai and add 2 tspn oil and heat it
- Add mustard seeds,cumin seeds and asetofida
- Once the mustard splatters, add chopped green chilly, Ginger and saute well
- Ads turmeric powder and mix well
- Add the mashed potato and mix well
- Add chat masala and coriander leaves and switch of the flame
- Once the potato mixture is completely cooled make a big lemon sized ball and keep it in a plate
- Heat the oil for deep frying in a kadai
- Taker the prepared potato balls,slightly flatten it and dip in the gram flour batter and drop into the hot oil
- Fry until it turns ti light brown in colour
- Remove once done and serve with butter toasted pav placing the potato vada in the middle.
- Serve with green chutney and tomato ketchup
