Potato Capsicum Gravy


Potato Capsicum gravy, a super simple side dish for chapathi



Preparation time: 30 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Potatoes: 4 nos
Capsicum: 2 nos
onions: 3 nos
tomatoes: 3 nos
green chilly: 2 nos
ginger garlic paste: 1 tblspn
Red chilly powder: 2 tspn
coriander powder: 2 tspn
cumin powder: 1 tspn
garam masala: 1 tspn
kasuri methi: 1 tspn
turmeric powder: 1/2 tspn
Oil : 2 tblspn
cashews: 6 nos
Salt as per taste

Method:


  • Grind the onions, green chilly, ginger and garlic into fine paste
  • Grind the tomatoes and cashews into fine paste
  • Heat a pan and add the oil
  • Add the ground onion paste and saute well
  • Add the tomato paste and mix well
  • Add Red chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,cumin powder and salt and mix well
  • Cook the masala until it is completely dry and oil is released for the masala
  • Add the  chopped potatoes and cook for 10 mins by adding some water
  • Add capsicum and cook for 5 mins
  • Once everything is cooked add the garam masala and kasuri methi(lightly crushed in hands)


Delicious Potato and Capsicum Gravy for Chapathi. Naan or phulka is ready to serve
